The Scriptures - We believe the Bible was supernaturally inspired by God and is therefore absolutely inerrant and infallible. It is our final authority and supreme standard in all matters of faith and human conduct. (II Peter 1:20-21; II Timothy 3:16; Psalm 12:6-7)
|
God - We believe in one true and living God who has eternally exisited. He is all-knowing, all-powerful, holy, and perfect in every attribute He possesses. God exists in three Persons - The Father, Son and Holy Spirit - three Persons and yet one God. Each Person of the Trinity is worthy of our reverence, worship and obedience. (Psalm 99:9; I John 5:7; Revelation 4:11)
Creation - We believe God was and is powerful enough to create the whole earth in 6 literal days. He did not use evolution to bring about man or the diversity of animals. We believe His creation is a testimony and declaration of the wonder and glory of God! (Genesis 1:1,24-27; 2:21-23; Romans 1:20; Psalm 19:1)
Man - We believe man was created in the image of God but fell through Adam's sin. As a result of Adam's sin spiritual death passed upon all men and now man is a fallen race with an inherited sinful nature. As a result of this sinful nature, man finds himself in a state eternally separated from God and in need of redemption. (Genesis 2:16; Romans 5:12; Romans 6:23)
Salvation - We believe that salvation is only achieved by the grace of God though faith and not through any human merit. Redemption is only possible through the shed blood of the Lord Jesus Christ. In order to be justified, man must be brought to a place of repentance were they fall on the grace of God and ask for forgiveness for their sin. By trusting in the atoning work of the Lord Jesus Christ, man is made a new creature in Christ and their soul is passed from death unto life. (Ephesians 2:8-9; Romans 5:9, 10:9; II Corinthians 5:17)
Eternal Security - We believe once someone is truly born-again, they can never lose their salvation. They are sealed with the Holy Spirit and kept by God's power until the day of redemption. Once saved, no one or thing is able to pluck them out of their loving Father's hand. (Ephesians 4:30; Romans 8:38, I Peter 1:5; John 10:27-29)
Separation - We believe out of deep gratitude for the undeserved grace of God each believer should be separated unto God and separated from the world. We believe each believer is called to a life of holiness unto God and therefore must come out from among any worldliness and religious apostasy. Each believer should abstain from anything that would bring reproach upon our Lord and Savior. (Romans 1:1; II Corinthians 6:17; Romans 12:2)
End Times - We believe in the immenet return of the Lord Jesus where He will rapture His church from the earth and bring about the Great Tribulation. This seven year period is followed by the Second Coming of Christ where He will then establish a literal one thousand year Millennial Reign. At the conclusion of this reign He will judge the lost at the Great White Throne Judgment while believers will spend eternity in the glories and joy of Heaven. (I Thess. 4:16-17; Matthew 24:27,42; Acts 1:9-11; Revelation 20:1-6)
